What are Acrylic Nails?
Acrylic nails are a full cover nail extension that is applied and sculpted to go over your existing nails to give you extra length or different shaped nails.
They are applied using an acrylic liquid and powder, which is sculpted into the general shape of the nail. There is a limited time before the acrylic becomes hard where it needs to be filed and buffed to the desired shape of the nail.
Acrylics need to be back filled every two weeks to maintain the integrity and structure of the nails, otherwise they are likely to lift which can cause damage to your natural nail.
Acrylic nails need to be removed professionally to help prevent damage to your natural nail. This normally requires them to be filed then soaked.
